I''m preparing to make an object that olds many arrays of bitmap data and I''m planning to use a queue to hold them. Can anyone tell me how I would instantiate a Queue in C++?

Check the Standard Template Library "list" container. It should provide all the functionality you need for a simple queue.

std::queue isn''t a container. It''s an adapter. It can use std::list internally. You might have meant std::deque--that is a container.
