Trainer Programing.

Original Post
I am currently trying to make a game trainer for Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. Just like other game trainers, you click a button in my app, and say it add''s $20,000 to your parks funds, or you click another button and it makes all the land flat for you. How do I go about coding this? How do I get the information from the games data files?
I am very new to VB and I am currently using VB 6
If you program it, they will play.
Well, trainers come in handy for a game like RCT, look at all the trainers for the first game, you could add all rides, own all land, make all rides new, rich guests, mad funding, and a crap load more.
There are only a few for RCT2 out right now, due to the fact that it just came out, pretty much.

''Why do people enjoy cheating? It ruins the whole point of playing the game! ''
What if they have already completed it and have got bored of the games mechanics?
What if the game is too challenging for them, or they are too lazy to try?
What if they like the feeling of power?
There''s lots of reasons for cheating, and yes most cheats do ruins the objectives of the game - thats why its called a cheat.
Sorry - just in a semi-cranky mood
(its not like I cheat or anything

I''d better make a point:
Yes I''ve made a trainer before (for Shiny''s online RPG/RTS game) but I never released it in fear that it would ruin the (tiny) online community (I only use it against good freinds (and occasionally pretend I''m the police and if someone tries to cheat I annihilate them (but not elite players of course(like myself))(yes, I''ve noticed I have a strange love of paranthesis, sorry)).
Anyway, back to the point:
Windows actually has functions that allow you to access the memory of other applications, I can''t remeber all the details because I did this a long time ago, however heres some of the windows functions I needed to do it:
FindWindow
GetWindowThreadProcessId
ReadProcessMemory
WriteProcessMemory

Ok, I will try that, can you give me an example of exactly how I would type the code for the money change button in VB?
um, perhaps you should learn some basic VB before you set your goals so high. you said you are very new to VB (and i assume programming in general)... get a book, or find some tutorials on the internet. while a lot of people here would be glad to help you out if you run into problems, nobody wants to write a program for you (if they did, they''d be writing the program for themselves already).
go here to get started...

What game is this? I loved Sacrifice. I thought that they only did Sacrifice and are now going into The Matrix.
