Hi, I''m currently building a level editor under windows using Visual Studio.Net, and am interested in implementing some sort of plugin structure to allow it to be upgraded easily by myself, and also by other programmers. I am intending to provide interfaces for: scene objects (with member funtions such as save, load, render, update etc) renderers(Init, drawTriStrip, changeRenderState etc) Importers, Exporters Tools and others Ideally, it would be a case of scanning for *.dlls in a plugins directory on startup. This would then allow implemented interfaces to become usable, i.e. if a directx7 class and opengl class were both implementing IMyGraphicsInterface and compiled as opengl.dll and directx.dll then the user would be able to switch between renderers in the application. If only one was present then this option would be greyed out. The problem is I don''t really know how to go about this, I have done some reading on COM and .Net, but am unsure what would be best for this situation. C++ or C# could be used, and again this could influence the decision. Any ideas? Cheers, Scruff
