DirectX Help Please!

Hello... I am having FRIGHTFUL problems with directX on windows 2000 and wonder if anyone could point me to a help forum with people that actually check it? (( edit: and by that i mean i understand that this is a dev forum, not a help forum, per se. )) ( btw my problem is that everytime i install directX 8.1b on my fresh windows 2000 install, the next time i boot i get the blue screen of death with an unhandled exception error and some memory addresses, then it reboots. my system is basically totally screwed. ) Thanks for any help or direction, Dan [edited by - Dan__ on December 11, 2002 12:16:18 PM]
