I''m trying to write a class for a game I''m doing which will encapsulate Keyboard/Mouse and Joystick control. Unfortunately, DirectInput has other ideas. I need a tutorial on how to check the above devices, can anyone recommend one?

What do you mean by ''check'' the device? If you mean to see if they are available, you can try to call CreateDevice the mouse or keyboard device using GUID_Sysxxx as the GUID, where xxx is Mouse or Keyboard. For joysticks, you have to use the EnumDevices call. All of this should be in the SDK

''There''s something out there....something stupid...''
''I think I''m going to be ill. Is that a problem for you?''
''[You] overestimate my conscience by assuming that I have one.''
