Dose any one know about this new programming language D. On it''s home page at "http://www.digitalmars.com/d" it claims to be the sicessor of C++. If so; When was it developed? Is D copyrighted or can any develop a D compiler? Is they any good books on it? And is it worth lerning yet, or ever? I''m alway exited when a new language is developed.

I''m not far in the specification, but I would use it if it could implement all of those features and not have the overhead of C++. It''d be nice if someone implemented a version of C++ without all the overhead, like C.
