Games Programming Gems

Although the GPG books are much overpriced, I didn't see much that can be found on the net. Besides, even if it can be found, most of the times it will be a tutorial in the style of "Hey, Object Occlusion Culling is great! It's really fast and cool to use. Here's my code:" followed by a huge list of incomprehensible code.
The good thing about tutorials in books is that they are edited: you know somebody professional has checked them to make sure they are readable and of decent quality. Okay, except for the Zen book, perhaps.

Not only gems, you can find everythings from Internet.
Of course,Webs such as GAMEDEV GAMASUTRA or FLIPCODE has many informations enough for you to make a game but why do you have to waste your time searching the information? why do you have to read from monitor which can suffer your eyes? Why do you have to pay a lot of money for printing?
In my opinion,You should find some good books and Gems1 is one of them.

In my opinion "Gems... " is an over estimated programming book .
I do not mean it is bad, but 5 stars ...no, definitly not
The point is that there are a lot of articles, a lot of them can be found on the web, but very few are really usefull , most of them are so short that they must be simply considered as
" Hints ", far away to be exaustive , some others are just a matter of common sense.
