Visual studio classview problem

I wonder why visual studio fail to find the definition of a function sometimes. Like this one:

typedef bool (*ZGuiWndProc)(ZGuiWnd* a, unsigned int b, int c, void* d);
bool CreateNewType(CtrlType eType, ZGuiWndProc oWndProc);

I get the fail message: "Cannot find the definition (implementation) of this function" when I try to click on the function in the classview, and it is very unnoying because I always use classview to navigate among the files (not fileview)... Thanks. [edited by - CodeZ on December 18, 2002 5:41:08 AM]

Have you already implemented the function?

in your C++ file there should be an implementation like

bool CXYClass::CreateNewType(CtrlType eType, ZGuiWndProc oWndProc)
{return true;}

could also be a visual studio bug... the class view doesn''t always work correctly ...

Yes I hate that! It´s bad because everything else is quite good... ok, there is other buggs to sometimes when you have more then one Visual Studio application running, VS eat''s all CPU power from your computer! nothing left. and one other thing, when you search for files, sometimes the program freeze and when you copy-and-paste text sometimes it append things from teh clipboard buffer that you have cut out earlier, and I hate that you can´t use the scrollbutton and that the tooltips doesn´t always show up...

If you''re using VC6, you''re gonna have to deal with the fact that the class view in it is broken.

Most often, when VC++ can''t find an implementation, it is one of 3 problems.

1) You have your funtion implementation missing ClassName:: at the start of it.

2) The variable types in the declaration don''t match the variables iin the definition.

3) Typo in function declaration or definition.
