Hey everyone. I just finished a simple java game for one of my programming courses. It was made for a local 5th grade class to help them learn analogies. This is my second java game, and probably my last. Java is cool for a lot of things, but I prefer to make games in C++. Anyway, I'm rambling now. Here's the link. The high scores and analogies are loaded from a database. New high scores are saved to the database. If anybody recognizes some of the sounds or graphics, yes they are from WGPFD. I can't draw for crap, and Andre gave me permission. As for bugs, if you reload the webpage or go back then forward again it will not work. Also on some machines there's nasty slowdown when lots of explosions are happening on the screen. This is a java sound issue and not a graphics issue. Java really sucks with sound (at least from my experiences with it). Anyway, tell me what you think. EDIT - Oh, and if anybody wants the source code, I'll be glad to give it to whoever wants it. ***********************            [edited by - Big Sassy on December 22, 2002 3:14:32 AM]

Are you connecting directly to the database from the applet? I get a connection error from the MS SQL Server Driver during the loading screen. The intro was cool though.

Yeah, directly from the applet. I signed the .jar file so that shouldn''t be a problem. Did the pop-up come up asking you to trust the .jar file?
