Original Post
hi there!
If you're looking for someone more in your programming part, i can maybe help you. I'm comfortable with java and VB (prefer java but VB is ok) and not interested in a c++ project.
Because a small example is better than a long speech, here is what i made some time ago:
http://www.gp.batcave.net/files/part_1.zip
http://www.gp.batcave.net/files/part_2.zip
http://www.gp.batcave.net/files/part_3.zip
It is separated in 3 files because this webhost's max filesize was 1mb. You just need to unzip them 3 in the same folder and launch the setup.
This shows approximately my level. Nevertheless, i learned some more, especially in java since then. For example: java3d, RMI, Servlets(basics). UML and databases are also in my skill range.
I don't desire to be a lead programmer but more a "right arm" or a consultant. I'm not going to perform huge tasks on a WE, i'm very lazy in fact, but ready for the long run if needed.
If you're interested, just send me a mail including a design doc.
What should the design doc include?
-What sort of game, 2d/3d?, solo/multiplayer?...
-full story
-language(s) and apis that are used
-the exact gui and game interactions(what happens exactly when i click on this and that...)
-description of ALL elements of the game, it must cover all from the start-menu to the ending video. (The more details, the better it is)
other infos needed:
-why do you want to make it, why do you think it's a brilliant idea?
-who is in (position, experience...)
-the position i would fill
-what is requested from me
-current source-code + doc
all this in a motivated mail to xarnaudx@hotmail.com and you've big chances that i'll join!
cheers
PS: any questions welcome.
