I know this is a programming forum and HTML isn't considered a programming language but here is my question: I have been working on my new site, at the moment I am still working on the design and layout. I am hosting it on IIS for testing purposes at the moment. It is located at here MainFrame is that page which has an iFrame as can be seen where the "This page cannot be displayed" is. The main links (the hyperlink hasn't been added yet) on the top menu will load a page in that iFrame. However, the iFrame (Fmain) has a fixed height so whenever I load a page into it, I have to use scrolling. What I would like is the table/iFrame (the iframe is basically a the table) to resize to fit the data. A quick search on Google revealed that iFrames cannot be resized, they are given a fixed height/width and that cannot be changed. My question is, how would I have an iFrame or something similar which can do what I described, resize according to the data loaded in it, or do I have to set up a template and have the menu,banner and all the other aspects as just non-editable regions with only that table editable. Just to clarify the structure: The middle section of the site (the menu and the corresponding bit on the right, are 3 columns. One column containing the menu, one column only a few pixels wide as a seperator and then the main column

<td width="555" valign="top" bgcolor="#5B6C7D">
<table width="100%" height="100%" border="0" cellpadding="15" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td valign="top"><table width="100%" border="1" align="center" cellpadding="0"
cellspacing="0" bordercolor="#000000">
<tr>
<td>
<iframe src="intro.htm" name="Fmain" width="100%" frameborder="0" noresize="no"></iframe>
</td>
</tr>
</table></td></tr></table></td>

The main column has a table embedded in it. This is the iFrame. I have a template set up, which just has the bgcolor and a "no-border" table for aligning stuff. This template is applied so all the pages to be loaded in the iframe are just content in a "no-border" table with a set background. If you need a better description/explanation I will try and make it a bit easier, and any help is appreciated.

Why are you using an iframe anyway? I''ve looked at your site, and the use of an iframe is completely unnecessary.

Are you worried that if you make any changes to your parent HTML (the navigation, etc), that you''ll have to do so on every other page? If this is the case, you don''t have to worry.

Look up the use of "#include" and "#include virtual" to plug in content. You''ll have to make your index a .SHTML file, however, but this is no big deal.

There''s also another method of doing this, but I have completely forgotten how (pretty aggrevating; it''s a really simple thing..), but I''ll consult my friend when I see him.

Otherwise, there''s really no reason whatsoever to use an iframe.

Ah, got it.

Look up "SSI", that is exactly what you need.

Ew. Don''t use an iFrame. I know Netscape sucks but half the fun is trying to support it

So there is no way to have that open and just load the stuff I need in that table? I have to have all pages, just sharing a template or SSI which containts the header

You could use Flash, I believe.

You have a Flash movie which isn''t noticable - just recieves &#106avascript messages from the browser, and loads the appropriate HTML page (and displays it, I think you can do that with MX).
