Got a wireless network question for everyone. Currently I have a wireless AP router that is connected to my cable modem. From there I have a wire to my desktop, and then wireless to my laptop. I''m going to be adding a new pc and wanting to connect my PS2 to the network as well since I have the network adapter. If I connect a wireless AP like the Linksys WAP11 and connect a hub/switch to it, will the two devices be able to connect to my router without disrupting my laptop? Basically I don''t want to run a cable (that involves cutting into the walls of my new house) and I figure I already have a wireless setup. Will the WAP11 basically turn into a "wireless hub"? I know I can setup a point to point, but that breaks the connection with the laptop. Is this going to be possible?

Argh! I need to draw myself a diagram.....

(solid lines represent wired connections, dashed represent wireless)

cable modem
|
wireless router - - - - laptop
| -
desktop pc -
-
wireless ap
|
hub/switch
|
ps2

Did I get everything right, and the diagram is correct? If so, I don''t see any problems. If you''re worried about the wireless AP interfering with the laptop, I highly doubt you''ll have difficulties.

That''s exactly the setup I''m looking to have. Plus another pc along with the PS2... Creating my own "media center" computer for mp3s Thanks for the help. I really didn''t want to cut into my nice walls
