i need to know which would be best for my project somthing with pre-calculated normals and s***.im looking at either the MD2 or ms3D but i dont know.please dont meantion MD3 because it sucks purply because the way the models are hadled (most things like Human models are made of more then 1 part more then one file ~_~).Even a custom made format :\

The best model format I personally think is the one you write yourself for your engine, because you only need to include the stuff specific to your engine, but if you don''t want to go that route, I would suggest MD2. It is really easy to implement, and many places online have tutorials on how to load them up and display them. I hade a loader in one of my past projects, and it worked like a charm. ms3D is also easy to load, but for some reason I could never get it to work exactly how I needed, but then again, that is my fault, not that of the file format.

Have a look at the NeHe SDK, it has both MD2 and ms3d loaders. I''m still fixing some niggling problems with the texturing in MD2. Also I will probably add animation in ms3d too.
