I am making a game and so far when i compile and run it, it runs fine (the debug version) but if i want to make a release .exe it gives me these errors:

--------------------Configuration: CD - Win32 Release--------------------
Compiling...
CGAME.CPP
Main.cpp
Linking...
CGAME.OBJ : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _Direct3DCreate8@4
CGAME.OBJ : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _D3DXMatrixPerspectiveFovLH@20
CGAME.OBJ : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _D3DXMatrixLookAtLH@16
CGAME.OBJ : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _D3DXCreateFontIndirect@12
Release/CD.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 4 unresolved externals
Error executing link.exe.

CD.exe - 5 error(s), 0 warning(s)

Any Ideas ?

If you''re using VisualC++ 6.0 the problem is that when you
change from Debug to Retail the project settings will automatically
change, so you''ll have to include the libraries again into the
Release configuration.

To do that:
Menu Project->Settings
Click on the ''Link'' tab and add the libraries you want.

Usually a Direct3D application use at least this libraries:
dxguid.lib d3dx9.lib d3d9.lib ......
''......'' = Default libraries

if you''re using DirectX8 instead of 9 just change the name of
the libs from 9 to 8. i.e:
d3dx9.lib -> d3dx8.lib

Does DirectX9 work in Visual C++ 6.0?
