This is not flaim bait. Anyway, even if were used like it was, it''s between two products of the same company. So if you want to start a flame war, think about how stupid you are before you try. Now. What is the difference between Visual C++ 6 and .NET? I''m wondering which one to buy. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Which one do you prefer?

Personally, I love VC7 (.NET) because compile times are much faster for my projects and the UI is much better. Having tabbed browsing, webbrowser integration, and a hotkey for "Find in files" makes it a must-switch for me.

I have both currently installed on my system right now. They are both good, there are a few big differences in .net that require a look at the help file (like linking libs), but all in all I like it better.
