Everything in my project compiles and links. However, when I run it, it bails rather quickly (before starting fully?) and points to this line in WinMain.cpp: // Perform specific initializations if (!pThread->InitInstance()) {... When I look at the value of pThread, I see that it is null (0x00000000) and it also says {CWinThread h=??? proc=???} Feel free to ask any questions about what sort of environment I am in. Be specific since I might not know where to find the stuff. Dave Mark - President and Lead Designer Intrinsic Algorithm - "Reducing the world to mathematical equations!" What is the error you get?

--

pThread would be null since you have not run the program yet and there for the thread does not yet exist...
[edit]
it's late and apperently I can no longer read forget the comment about pThread I just made... Instead listen to Invader X as aperantly he can read

It looks like pThread was never initialized. Double check to make sure that you properly initialize all your variables.

The hackers must have gotten into the system through the hyperlink!!

Why would it be up to me to initialize pThread in WinMain.cpp? I didn''t write it!

Is this a "Windows Application" project but using MFC??
Are you linking single threaded lib instead of multi-threaded lib?
Is your CWinApp object successfully constructed (if it is really MFC)?

yeah... this was set up as a Windows Application. I recreated it as a Console App for now and it works fine.

Sorry to bother you guys.
