Things to consider

Well, I''ve launched my website. I''m providing web dev and software dev services, as well as something else to come that isn''t ready yet (read the ''Binary Refinery'' page if you want to know what). However, this isn''t an announcement (I used the announcements forum for that ), I have a question. Firstly, any comments about the site in general would be greatly valued. If you follow the link and click ''Web Design,'' you''ll get a list of the things I consider when making a site. Things like security, ease of use, maintainability, and so on. Can anything think of anything I should be thinking about that isn''t on the list? What do you look for in a web developer? well the feature list is good, but IMHO you should show that you are actually able to do these things...either make some good example pages showing your skills or at least make the homepage itself better. in it''s current minimalistic stage it doesn''t show anything of your skills
actually it does the contary...not everyone uses the standard windows color scheme..and with my black bg scheme your site looks bad and on the main page the links are black on black bg, thus invisible. so please set the background/font colors in your stylesheet and don''t rely on people having windows standard settings
if i had to invest money this would turn me down off, since the first point in your feature list is standard compliance and that websites should look the same on any system and any browser, but the page this is written on looks different on any windows

Ehehe. My bad.

I actually haven''t yet tested this site under Windows (I made it under Linux with Mozilla, and have tested under MacOS9 with IE5), although I am going to (when I get a moment).

Should be fixed now, rest assured that it was not intentional. That''ll teach me to skip on the stylesheets next time.

I''ve just updated the software page with links to Alien Territory and QuikGame, if anyone was interested but couldn''t download them. The front page ''business card'' now has a backdrop, too.

So how does it look now?

Nobody has any comments? Flames, questions, suggestions, haikus, jobs, gigantic purple fish...?
