There''s currently a thread running in this forum about people''s favorite games (It''s just around the top at the moment, so you should be able to find it. Just here in the design forum...

Anyway, I can''t really say what gameplay I like, without knowing the genre of the game. Personally I like pretty much any genre, except hyper-realistic games and/or sports games.

The "favorite game" thread Spoonster mentioned is a good place to start, and you''ll want to look around at some other threads. You might even benefit from looking into older threads, where members debate the merits of different control systems or saving/continuing schemes. There''s a lot of information in these boards, but the search feature is temporarily disabled (Temporarily nothing, I''ve never seen the thing work!)

thank you for your reply! now i´ve got an idea how my game will look like, and i hope that it will be finished in, erm... let´s say a year (if i can manage to finish the 2d/3d graphics and the sound, and if my brother won´t have problems with programming)
During the prduction-process i will post some artworks in the 2d/3d art forum.
