Hello All I just start learning Hardware/software development. I am just wondering is this the place to ask questions about Hardware/Software programming. eg. development in QuartusII tools and VHDL programming. Thanks

Check out http://www.opencores.org they have open source intellectual propety (IP) cores site.

They have source for VGA controllers, PCI bridges, Communication cores, CPU cores, etc.

They even have a core called ''Yellow Star'' that is an open source Mips R3000 (CPU used in the PS1).
