Hey, I''m going to be using STL maps to creating an index into my texture list vector. My program has no errors, but these 2 lines are generating a total of 332 warnings

typedef map<std::string, int>::iterator TextureIndexIterator;
TextureIndex.insert(pair<std::string, int>((*iter)->m_fileName, numLoadedTextures));

Just about all of these warning are or relate to the following: warning C4786: identi fier was truncated to ''255'' characters in the debug information the actual warning is bigger than that but the information doesn''t seem to help much and it was quite large So, if you have any insight into what might be causing these, or if I should ignore them (i''d rather not), then feel free to speak up

"With my feet upon the ground I lose myself between the sounds and open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin. I''m reaching up and reaching out. I''m reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me, what ever will bewilder me. And following our will and wind we may just go where no one''s been. We''ll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one''s been." - Maynard James Keenan

The cause of the warning is innocuous, so just disable it like so:

# pragma warning (disable: 4786)

have you looked at the documentation to see what the warning means? That's what I would do before asking a question.
