Hi, I need a program or something that is able to modify the filename/path for the textures in .X Models(binary) - since the plugin I use for 3dsmax exports it using absolute filepaths. Thus'' my problem...I just want something like ''hoha.dds'' I tried to strip the paths in smax using the "bitmap path util", but instead it only exports the material colors and no texture info. (pre)Thanks for any help... //Aram.

Why don''t you just strip everything but the filename off them at runtime, before you try to load the texture?

Well, that isn''t my area - I don''t do the programming stuff =)

Alithough I''ve told him to do so earlier but he wanted to see if it was possible to fix that without doing so.

guess he has to do it in code then... =/

thx anyway.

What I do is export my X files as text and manually change the path for the textures, then you can load the X file into the MVIEW tool and resave it as a binary file.
