Minidisc for data storage.

Is this possible? I have seen millions of minidisc mp3 players and just minidisc players, but I never saw something that uses one as a regualr storage device. I think there are some laptops, maybe PDAs that use only minidisks.

The encased ones or the naked ones?

Can I get a minidisk drive for a pc?

I thought you meant those small CDs?

Essentially yes, but you can get them in 2 different forms.

1 form is permanently encased in something not too different from a 3.5 inch floppy casing.

The other form has no casing.

contrary to popular belief, einstein was a drunken frat boy...

...anyway, I think it''s entirely possible that minidiscs could be used for data storage, I mean, they look cool enough to replace CD''s in movies...

Minidisks are really useless IMO.

AFAIK, they could be used to store data. I have not heard of them being used as a floppy disk though.

And the minidisc''s that I am talking about are encased in something similar to that of a floppy case.
