For windows apps I don''t use mfc. Mostly because I don''t really understand how it works, and I don''t like to use the appwizard & classwizard, because I always end up with a mass of code, of which I don''t understand the hierarchy at all. so I''m just wondering... How many of you do use mfc, and if you do, do you use the appwizard and the classwizard, or do you type all the code by hand? My Site

If one intends to use MFC, they will likely use the AppWizard for it, only because coding all of that from scratch is painful and actually rather tricky, but in some cases it may be necessary. ClassWizard isn''t as vital. I used both when I used MFC.

i use wtl (windows template library), and i write by hand the code that would''ve been generated by appwizard/classwizard because those don''t work for wtl.

I tend to use MFC for writing tools (it makes life alot easier) and tend to use AppWizards to create the projects.

BTW. does anyone have any links to good tutorials on creating appwizards for .NET (Vc7 ie) ?
