mean shift

Thanks for the reply. I searched on google but did not find any constructive info.

I suppose it could mean other things, but I would expect it to mean increasing or decreasing the mean (average) of some list of values. An example: giving everyone a 10% raise shifts the mean salary upwards. An alternative would be working a shift in a restruant after the local bars close
