I bet $10000000000000000000000 dollars that if a coin is flipped 100 times it will land on heads at least once.

I see no problem with it in moderation. As long as you quit whilst you''re ahead. It''s when people get addicted that it''s a problem. However, I''m not of the opinion that things should be banned because some people don''t know how to handle them.

Some people get extremely addicted to the internet, to the extent that they spend all day on it and don''t have any social life. That''s no reason to ban internet access is it?

Of course whether gambling is right or wrong is entirely subjective. IMO it''s neither right nor wrong. Others may disagree.

Like drinking. If drinking leads someone to kill another person it doesn''t make drinking bad. It just means that person shouldn''t drink because it leads that person to do bad things.

It''s that whole "if my dad is a mean alchoholic everyone must be a mean alchoholic because me dad is so great and blah blah blah" denial thing. People don''t want to believe that someone they care about is too weak to handle something that millions/billions of other people have no problem with. If they have a problem with it, EVERYONE must have a problem with it or will have a problem with it.

Personally I have no problem gambling. I just do it with the stock market where it''s at least a little educated. For some strange reason my crap stock (BCICF) is rising rapidly. WCOEQ is still mucking around because of the uncertaintly surrounding it.

I won lunch money playing Blackjack once at work (before the manager told us to knock it off) and won $48 at Vegas the first time I ever played there with only $10 put down.

The way I look at it, I waste a lot of money anyway. I might as well put that money I would normally be guarenteed to lose to work on something that might make me money. If I never go to Vegas again I don''t care. But I have no plans to stop playing the market.

That just hit the nail on the head.

There many forms of gambling. Casinos are set up so that *they* win more money than the customers and that''s stupid. You basicly have no chance at winning the lottery. However, the Stock Market or Sports Betting or any other form of gambling that isn''t entirely based on luck, allow you to come up with systems that allow you to win. My dad does sports betting(me too a little ) and he plots out data charts on graph paper using previous games. He has systems that allow him to pick more winners than loosers(besides winning money with the systems, you can sell picks to ). People are doing similar things with the stock market. Hell, you could make a living on this stuff if you knew what you''re doing.

So it really depends on what kind gambling you mean.

*shrug* I regularly make money at Blackjack.

I heard that it’s a sin. So if you see a priest gambling at the casino then I don’t think it would be a good idea to go to his church lol.

I know many people that their lives got destroyed by gambling, sigh
If it can be addicting then you have to watch out which its not 1 or 2 people that get addicted but many. That’s a human flaw to be addicted but we should be addicted to good things like eating well, but o well.

Even casinos try to show it that it isn’t gambling and that its recreation and that no one goes to win money lol. But you have many other that lobby against casinos and show many examples of people that their lives are destroyed with the false advertisement casinos do. Well I think casinos should be quiet and people should know better and not complain that casinos are mainly to blame.

I would think it is not proper but people are able to do any thing they want and people will pay their own consequences even though many others get hurt.
