Do you know how Microsoft has a history of doing collaborative projects with other companies, taking the companies IP, and then leaving the project to make its own project better? Do you think Fahrenheit might have been one of these? I don''t know when MS was doing Fahrenheit, but it was before they made DX8, which looked a lot like OpenGL. Do you think they stole some IP there?

the worst thing about it was

SGI got a new CEO who made various bad (for sgi) decisions (one was collaberating with ms over fahrenheit) after about 2 years with sgi he left sgi to take up a managing position at ms!
