The use HOSTS.txt causes what problem??? thanks

You mean the windows\hosts file?
If you add your own addresses to it, and then write programs that rely on the addresses there (e.g. entering 'coolsite.net' for your IP address, then write a chat program that uses coolsite.net for the server) your programs wont work on other machines.

It doesn''t have a .txt on the end of it either.
