Rebar/Combox oddities

I create a rebar and attach a combo box to it while initializing my app. Everything works fine on my computer, but when I sent it to my friends house, the combobox under the menu didn''t appear. How could this be? I''m running Windows XP and hes running Windows ME. Surely ME supports rebars...
