Graphics card problems

Original Post
Last thursday my computer monitor stopped working and I had a couple extra monitors laying around so I tried those but with the last one when I unplugged the power cord from the back of the monitor, my computer shut off and it wouldnt turn back on. So I went out bought a new power supply put it in, also got a new monitor. And so my computer worked again but nothing is displayed on my monitor. So I tried pulling out the Graphics card(GeForce4 Ti4200) and then plugged it back in but still nothing is being displayed. So does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to fix it? Or do you think it got fried when my computer shut off when I unpluuged the power cord from my monitor? I went and looked at the support page and it didnt help.If this isnt the place to post something like this then I apoligize and just forget that I posted it.
Thnx

I tried what you said and it didnt beap, so does that mean its something else? What else could it be?

If you took the graphics card out, started it up and it didn''t beep at you, either your PC speaker isn''t hooked up or your MB is bad or you have onboard video.
Computers without video cards beep at you on boot.
If you have onboard video hook the monitor up to it and take out the card.

Ok I tried taking out my G-Card and I plugged my monitor into my m-board and still nothing happened. Is there anything else I can try?

Yeah I think your right. One more thing though, if my m-board was fried does that mean that my processor was fried too?

If you're lucky it's just your BIOS.
I once updated the BIOS but something went wrong and the BIOS was completely empty.
When I turned the computer on, all that happened was the fans started rotating, nothing else, so I had to bring the mobo to a computer store and they put a new BIOS on it.
And it was still under warranty so it was free.

That might be it to0. because when I turn my computer on the fans on my g-card and my m-board turn on. So how much would something like that cost to do? I think It might still be under warranty though because I just got it last month
