Hi,
I''m using DX9 SDK and when I try to do this:
KaMiKaZe
D3DXMATRIX Mat_World; ... // copy the current object matrix to Mat_World D3DXVECTOR3 Vec_Pos; ... // Fill in Vec Coordinates D3DXVec3Transform( &Vec_Pos, &Vec_Pos, &TargetMat );I get the following error message: error C2664: ''D3DXVec3Transform'' : cannot convert parameter 1 from ''struct D3DXVECTOR3 *'' to ''struct D3DXVECTOR4 *'' Types pointed to are unrelated; conversion requires reinterpret_cast, C-style cast or function-style cast And if I use a D3DXVECTOR4 instead of a D3DXVECTOR3 I get this message: error C2664: ''D3DXVec3Transform'' : cannot convert parameter 1 from ''struct D3DXVECTOR4 *'' to ''struct D3DXVECTOR3 *'' Types pointed to are unrelated; conversion requires reinterpret_cast, C-style cast or function-style cast Isn''t it a crazy thing? if we give a D3DXVECTOR3, it wants a D3DXVECTOR4, and if we give a D3DXVECTOR4 it wants a D3DXVECTOR3! Can anyone tell me what''s happening here? Is my MSVC++ 6.0 compiler crazy ?
