This is probably going to sound stupid but how do you get your terrain to render as you get closer to it and leave the rest out? I''m using an octree and if I don''t render a node, I just see the black clear color, even through the fog, on the ground and then I''ll see the skybox in the distance. In alot of games it looks like the sky meets the ground in a fog and then as you get closer, the terrain comes into view. Thanks
Thanks!

Is this some sort of level of detail thing or does the skybox move with the player? Anyone know?
Thanks!

The skybox should move with the player. The skybox should also have some sort of terrain on the bottom half and a horizon where it meets the sky. It works because everything on it is so far away perspective change is minimal when the player moves around.
