Hey there everyone. Being that I am in Western PA, I am getting hammered with this major snow storm. Is anyone else on the East Coast getting the snow? I tried driving to library, but alas, nearly killed myself half way there. Everyone, take a break from using the computer and look out side. What''s the weather like? Someone please tell me there will be an end to this snow! Brendan

I''m in middle Pennsylvania, and we''re really getting creamed, too. We''re predicted to have from 20-25 inches. Right now, I think we have a good 5-6 inches on the ground.

I''m in Southeast Pennsylvania(god, lot''s of PAers, hmm?) and it''s snowing like crazy here. They''re saying 30 inches or more...I guess I''m not leaving the house anytime soon.

This year the east coast has gotten lots of snow while the west coast hasn''t. The opposite happened last year. Two years ago, we were in todays situation, and three years ago was the same as last year (I think). I hope next year the west coast gets lots of snow because I want snow.

I''m in Silver Spring, MD just north of DC and the snow already comes up to my knees. I''m sick of snow. Ironically, if it wasn''t for the snow storm i''d be up at White Tail snowboarding. But it''s kinna dangerous to drive there.

I remember back in ''95, a significant amount of snow in California didn''t melt at all. I was tromping through it in late July.

In late july? That''s perhaps a bit TOO extreme for my tastes...

I don''t see how you could think California would be more extreme than Sweden with regard to snow or cold weather.

I can''t even remember the last time it snowed here and stuck around for more than a day. Then again, the temps usually get around 60-70 during the day in the winter, over 110 during the summer...

Well, due to the heavy rain shadows that California cast eastward, Nevada is more arid than California. Even in ''95, I doubt any snow lingered as late as July.

Ocean County, about 5 minutes drive from Six Flags.

Do you know Gaiiden (Drew), or any of the other NJ''ers?

Nope, I''m not familiar with any other NJers from this site, that was why I was interested.

Six flags is about 15/20/25 minutes from me.

Well it''s official, pretty much every school in Pittsburgh is closing already. Although, this doesn''t compare to last year when I was at my grandparents in Buffalo, NY for christmas break. My grandfather suffered a heart attack, and in the midst of 4 feet of snow (4 more came later), we had to take him to the hospital.
