I''ve been having some problems with the accumulation buffer. High on the list is it running at a speed of about 1 FPS. Actually that''s the only thing on the list :E. I''m trying to implement a simply motion blur effect using glAccum(GL_MULT,0.9f); Then render 100 triangle texture mapped object glAccum(GL_ACCUM,0.1f); glAccum(GL_RETURN,1.0f); Now I can see that the accumulater buffer would be doing all those operations on a pixel by pixel basis but, shouldn''t it be faster than that. I''ve tested it on a ge force 4 and it still runs slow. Can anyone shed some light?

AFAIK accum buffer is not supported by today''s hardware so all the computations are done entirely in software, therefore the low speed. I suggest you useing another technique to do motion blur such as rendering your objects to texture and then blending a few of previous frames on screen.

The Radeon9500/9700 cards are the only consumer cards that support a hardware accumulation buffer, afaik.

Thanks guys, hopefully the accumulation buffer will become more common.
