Hi, I tinkered with alpha stuff awhile back, but eventually the OpenGL hobby kind of slipped away from me. However, I''m trying to get back into it and I can''t remember how to successfully create an alpha channel/mask in PS or PSP. IIRC, it took some time for me to get the hang of it the last time I tried, as there was some bizarre aspect of PS that kept it from acting as I''d expect it to. Anyway... Can someone be so kind as to sum up the steps necessary to create an image with an alpha channel/mask/(whatever the proper term is ? I greatly appreciate whatever help someone can provide... - JS

in PSP you select what you want, then go to selections>save to alpha channel.
in photoshop, you create a new channel, and that automatically becomes the alpha channel.
