I''m trying to add some network support to my game, and I''m following the tutorial in the DirectX SDK on hosting a peer to peer session. I''m done exactly as it does, but when I get to m_piDP8Peer->Host( &xAppDesc, &m_piDP8Address, 1, NULL, NULL, this, 0 ) my app just hangs, and after a while crashes. The only difference I can think of is that my game runs in a seperate thread to the window, but I don''t see why that should cause it to bomb out. Anyone any ideas? Matt

Do you have a firewall running on that machine? DP doesn''t play nice with some firewalls.

Try changing the "this" second to last parameter to NULL.

OK it''s a bit bizarre, but my message handler callback was missing the _stdcall (or CALLBACK) calling convention. It''s fine now. Spent 2 days trying to find the bugger though
