What are the requirements for making a .lib in visual studio .net. I have a game engine that I compiled as a .lib and used it in a demo that I wrote. Now howver, I am recoding the engine and started it as a static library project and am slowley adding code to it. However, whenever I do a build I just get .obj files. ?? Am I doing something wrong or maybe just because there are no direct links between all the pieces of the engine yet?? Also, is there any good tutorials for making .dll''s

show me your macro to export to a dll.i usualy use this
#define _declspec (dllexport)

i thinnk i you are using this one.
#define extern "C" _declspec (dllexport)

i think it won't crate a .lib file. i think ... not sure
