Hi all ... it seems like the problems never go away... I want to render direct 3d in a window using C#. When rendering in fullscreen you use the main form as the control that is passed to the device creation. But if i want to render in windowed mode, and just to a certain part of the form, how do I do? Should I use a existing component like the "panel" and use as control or should I write my own wich inherits from the System.Windows.Control?

Don''t you think that using a Panel would be easiest?

Why dont you try it?

Of course you can -in fact, you can use any control that derives from System.Windows.Forms.Control, including a panel. You can even specify the whole form to draw 3d graphics on, just like you did for fullscreen mode.
