Hey, i''m brand new to opengl and gamedev in general really... i code in C++ and i''ve seen a whole lot on open gl on the web and stuff, but i can''t seem to find anything that''ll help me make 2D games! is opengl that bad for making 2D games? where can i go to learn more about using sprites and bitmaps in Open GL to create old school sidescrollers and stuff... in addition, i''d also like to program even older games (like tetris, pong, galaga, etc.) using opengl. should i? where can i get help on how to, and if i shouldn''t, what should i use instead? that''s all, thanks a lot!
