Maybe it has to do with the fact that mitochondrial DNA is only passed down through the mother, so it remains unchanged through generations unless it mutates? Or, uhh... maybe not

Ok, this is a gay assignment but my biology teacher is making us do it. Why are we all decendants from eve? It is not a biblical question but a DNA question I think. Anyone have an answer? I have been searching for ever! This is my last resort. Thanks.
Do you go to a private school or a public school?
If its a public, sue your teacher

You can''t. Teacher''s are free to talk about the Bible all they want, but they are not allowed to force their religion on the students (ex. your going to hell if you don''t convert!!).
A lot of people misinterpret this to mean that you cannot discuss religion at all. In that case, you wouldn''t be able to discuss evolution either. Some consider evolution a religion, because there is no substantial evidence that either God or evolution are real. They are both based on faith.
I know it's a joke, but logically it doesn't make sense. It's like saying if god wanted us to wear clothes we would have been born with them. He (assuming god exists and is male) didn't create us with clothing but I'm sure he isn't against us wearing clothing.
Perhaps I've spent too much time in Discrete Math class.

Hey. To clarify things. If homosexuality was right, then god wouldn't have mad Adame and Eve, he would have mad Adam and SteveAnyways, the thing about the mitochondria was right. I called up a friend who had this teacher last year and he helped me out. Thanks though!
