What are the best math libraries availible that are free and can be used in any type of project. I want to build an API independant project meaning I can''t use all the X structures I have previously used for DX.

I''ve googled around but I can''t seem to find much. Errmm, I guess that was a lousy disguise for a bump...

Math3d is a great little library.

It hasn't been updated for a few years, but it has a large range of vector/matrix/quaternion functions. It's in object oriented c++ so all the classes have nice overloaded operators making code written using the library very clean.

It compiles on windows and linux, and probably everything else too.

**EDIT** BTW it says "integrates seamless with OpenGL" but this is just the ordering of array elements in matrices - no OpenGL calls are used so it IS API independant

I''ve looked at it and I like it. As far as I understand from the licence, and additions I make should be made available to the public for free.
