What''s 2-D engine? Come to think of it, what''s a 3-D engine? Can anyone tell me? Thanks. Stanley
a 2d engine draws graphics (most likely for a game or demo) in 2d.

a 3d engine draws graphics (most likely for a game or demo) in 3d.

The engine traditionally handles graphics, input, sound, etc.. All parts of the game that are linked to the execution, and not the actual gameplay. For example, the enemies would not be part of the engine, but they would call engine functions to draw, play sounds, etc..

Hope this helps.
This does help - I''ve learned something again. Thanks, both of you.

Stanley
