Does anyone have any links to articles on how the float is stored & represented when using C++? Im particularly interested in how certain states like NaN and IND, etc. are represented and checked for. (I do know of _isnan() and such functions, but I''m wanting to find out what operations they perform) regards, GeniX www.cryo-genix.net

It''s platform specific (and in some cases, compiler specific). For information about one possibility for the format of floats, you should look up "IEEE 754" (try Google).
