Share with us your classics. Here are some of the threads that I have created that I really enjoyed, or I feel offered something in the way of discussion or ideas. Some of you may discover stuff that I wrote a long time ago in other forums. Comment on them if you want. Random things... On climbing and adventure... On computer graphics... On the Western as a game idea... On the political game... On situations as an AI technique for enriching gameplay... On annotated objects... On Jack Vance... On horses... On photography... On art and composition... [edited by - bishop_pass on February 27, 2003 12:23:57 AM]

My parents pulled out and I dusted off their old Pentax ME Super that they bought at a base trade for $150 when they were in the air force 16 years ago. I''m taking pictures of birds at my bird feeder. The closest I''ve gotten without a telescope is 1 ft. It sounds close, but it''s reasonable considering that the downy woodpecker crashed into the window and was in shock. After my mom and I removed the towel we covered it with to keep it warm(this is out on the deck in the freezing cold by the way), it began to scope around and finally got up. We were then reassured that it was indeed a woodpecker because of its vertical posture on the firewood just before it flew away, and its posture/waiting on the tree next to our deck. The second best thing(s) is the cardinal. One minute I was telling my mom how cardinals are all red and robins aren''t and how the Red Robin Resturants mascot, the "robin," is in fact a cardinal, and the next minute there were cardinals--the males: bright red with short yellow beaks. They travel to the bird feeder my mom made, with their women. The women are dull in color but are very bold. Did you know that cardinals are territorial? That is, they don''t like hanging around each other. This was proved to me when I saw two males, one scaring the other, fighting over a turn at the feeder. My mom also observes this all the time. So if you think I''m lying and you''re wrong, then you''re the bad man. You just wait. One day you''ll decide to keep cardinals in captivity, like the sick person you are, and then the next day they''ll all be dead--they will have killed each other. Is that what you want! IS IT! Enough of this bullshit! Quit arguing with me>_<
Keep coming back, because it's worth it, if you work it, so work it, you're worth it!

“[The clergy] believe that any portion of power confided to me, will be exerted in opposition to their schemes. And they believe rightly: for I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man” - Thomas Jefferson
