Hi guys, Anyone happen to know a good place for learning graphics fx programming? Preferable 2D effects, without hardware acceleration. I''m curious about such things as morphing and other transformations. I guess demo effects would be a good definition of what I''m looking for. Also I wonder if anyone know where to find information on how to program or let the computer generate labyrinths? I did a fast google, but couldn''t find anything useful. Oh, and fractal and mandelbrot graphics would be neat as well! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

For 2D and 3D software demo effects check out flipcode''s the art of demo making. This series is oldschool but it''s really good, and it isn''t difficult to port the concepts from mode 13h to directdraw.

...and if you don''t want to go to evil Flipcode, we also have a nice section with graphics resources here at GDNet Although the Flipcode articles are actually very good.

The Asphyxia tutorials are supposed to be pretty good too, as an introduction to oldschool demo effects. And then there is the good old Hornet archive. Unfortunately, they don''t have the http GUI anymore (a shame, since all entries were quality rated. Does anyone know, if the complete old archives are mirrored somewhere ?). But the ftp is still up.

I miss x2ftp.oulu.fi
