So far, all the information I''ve read about picking says 64 items is the limit. However, I am working on an editor that renders our height maps. I need to be able to grab any of the vertices (at least 16641) so regular OpenGL picking isn''t going to work. Any ideas? A GLuint, which is used to identify the objects being picked, must be at least 32 bits long, which means you can pick at least 4.2 billion different items. That should be enough for most cases. 64 sounds more like the minimum depth of the name stack.

Ok, thank you. I''ll go back to that wonderful tutorial I found and see if I can implement it.
