So, i want to hide my Mouse Cursor in Windows. I know the function ShowCursor(0), to do that. My problem is, that if i call that function once on initialising, it just doesnt work. If i call it on every game loop, the cursor will be hidden, but thats not a solution. Another project of mine does work with one ShowCursor call ! I am using Direct Graphics 8. THX for your Answers !

call your ShowCursor(FALSE) inside your processing for WM_SETCURSOR.

There are many reasons why a single ShowCursor at the start might not work. The only way to _guarantee_ there won''t be a cursor on all OSes etc is to make a cursor image (.cur) which is blank and set that as the current curesor. [That method was actually suggested on a mailing list by someone from the Windows team at Microsoft!]
