I''m using DirectX 9 to create a windowed graph. I''ve been poring through the docs and can''t seem to find where you set the resolution for the device in the client area of the window.. Any suggestions?

I''m creating the Window to be a set size, but I''m hoping there''s a way to change the resolution of the graph inside the window. My number of data points is going to be variable and I''d like the graph to take up the whole screen....

I''ll reread the properties doc, see if that helps any..

Hmmm, would setting a viewport work? Can it be larger than the window size or will it get clipped to the window parameters?

What part of DirectX are you using?
For Direct3D just Reset()''ing the device is the
easiest way.

MFC is sorta like the swedish police... It''''s full of crap, and nothing can communicate with anything else.

I''m using Direct3D. If I was doing this full-screen I wouldn''t have a problem, but this is first time I''ve tried something windowed...

I want my window to stay at a nice 600X300, but I''m hoping that I can change the pixel count INSIDE the window, say to 1200X600 or something if I need the extra points...

will setting the BackBuffer width and height do that??

Aha, setting the backbuffer size is working and I''ll just use the reset as needed.

Thanks...
