Hi, i have just downloaded the latest version of Dev C++. The problem is if i create a C++ project, it puts an #include <iostream> into my main source file, but it won´t compile since these compile errors pop up: 28 C:\PROGRAMME\DEV-CPP\include\c++\iostream:44 bits/c++config.h: No such file or directory. 44 C:\PROGRAMME\DEV-CPP\include\c++\ios In file included from C:/PROGRAMME/DEV-CPP/include/c++/ios 45 C:\PROGRAMME\DEV-CPP\include\c++\ostream from C:/PROGRAMME/DEV-CPP/include/c++/ostream 45 C:\PROGRAMME\DEV-CPP\include\c++\iostream from C:/PROGRAMME/DEV-CPP/include/c++/iostream 1 C:\Programme\Dev-Cpp\CPPTestCon\main.cpp from main.cpp ....... if i remove the iostream include, then it works. and this continues and continues with a few dozen of more errors. can anyone tell me what is wrong here?? thanks Gammastrahler

Looks like some kind of error related to the path of the include files. Try instaling dev-c directly into c:\devc. Just to be sure.

Ah this is an annoying problem with dev-c++ luckily it can be solved easily. What you need to do is copy C:\{Dev folder}\include\c++\mingw32\bits to C:\{Dev folder}\include\c++\bits and that should solve absolutly everything =) for any future problems with dev-c++ try the forums at http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=48211
ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI
