My friends and I are working on our first real game and I wondered if anyone had any tips about who to send it to to get it published or distributed? I am new to the site and appreciate all feedback
With out an experienced team that have shipped a title the chances of you getting a publisher this early in development are extremly small to nill. I would recommend you get the game to a playable state before you try to find a publisher. A publisher will want to see a playable demo before investing in distributing your game.

You may just want to distribute the game onlne from your site if you are not looking for shelf space at you local EB.

We are very close to having a playable demo, I expect to have it within the next month. I would be interested in having another company distributed for us. Are their any certain areas to look for distributers, or are there any companies that successfully distribute online that may accept a demo?

Thanks
You might want to try places like download.com to distribute your games, but I hear they have like a $50/year charge there or something...

When you go homeTell them of us, and say:For your tomorrow,We gave our today.
