What happened to the Snow or Sun thread? I would have thought it was pretty harmless? I admire the person that could have started a flame war out of that

Please read this. We should not waste GDNet''s bandwidth with useless threads.

Look, I need to clear something up. I know that everytime a thread disappears, people assume the staff or mods do it. But 90% of the threads that disappear have been deleted by the original poster.

Seeing as the deletion of threads often causes confusion would it be possible to have a page that would list the titles of threads deleted in the last month or so?

Perhaps it would be a good idea to prevent users from deleting threads like that. A single post I can understand, but not a whole thread. And if someone has a legitamate reason for wanting their thread deleted, they could always ask a moderator.

It''s not a good idea to burden moderators more. Something like being able to delete threads which have less than x replies would be nice.

Just yesterday someone asked a sincere question about how GameDev.net came to be and I gave them a link to the about page. A few minutes later the thread was gone and I understood.
